Runner's Power Smoothie
I went for a 5-mile run this morning in the rain. Boy is that ever the way to wake up!
Anyways, I cribbed this smoothie recipe from the October 2006 issue of "Runner's World," modified it a bit to match ingredients I had picked up, and then drank one. It was hella tasty!
Without further ado, here is the recipe:
1/2 cup pomegranate juice (I use half of one of the little "Pom" bottles)
1 orange
1 cup yogurt (I Don't use a full cup, just one of those little Wallaby organic yogurts)
2 teaspoons of honey
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 scoop of organic protein powder
In a blender, combine ingredients and blend for 30 seconds or so.
